For my first specialization I decided to check out Houdini. Houdini is (amongst other things) a tool that can be used to create procedural models.
The reason I decided to research Houdini is that it would allow me to create tools which helps artists and game designers to create assets which are incredibly flexible.
During this specialization I worked on several prototypes amongs which the terrain, building, and city generation seen here. These prototypes are not meant to impress visually, but instead give an idea of the kind of functionality that Houdini can add to exising game engines.
